What happens is that the 7 muscles governing shoulder mechanics begin pulling in a random fashion and at different rates of load. Now the head of the humerus gets pulled out of optimal position.

🤖Neurologically, the brain kicks down a signal to force movement regardless of inferior mechanics. It simply causes a compensatory action, which ‘allows’ the movement but in a suboptimal way.
